Writer, history researcher, biographer

Well sorry it's been so long since my last post, but I'm still here, still writing but have had a bit of a lull since last year. After putting out the three books so fast I think my brain needed a break. I have written a new novel, with new characters in it, based on a call centre, but I'm not strictly happy with its plot at the moment. Halfway through the first edit and I find I'm wanting to rip it apart and start again. There's definitely the making of a good novel in there but it maybe that I've got too many characters to play with. As a change of pace I'm undertaking a challenge from the NaNoWriMo stable during April, a short story a day for thirty days. I don't think short stories are my forte but I'm looking forward to the chance to explore what I can produce under a certain amount of pressure. The Manchester NaNo group has decided to run our own network to support each other and the stories will be available to read at www.shortstorymonth.co.uk (I think), each writer has their own board so there should be quite a selection. So I'll probably go quiet again but I'll try to post links via my Twitter account @suzeapple. Here's hoping it works.
