Saturday 27th July
Event 1 - 10am-12pm
Fancy finding out how to turn your dusty manuscript into a real book?  Or have an idea for a story you want to write? Don't wait to be discovered,  come to the Heatons Library between 10am and 12pm for a session on self publishing. I'll give a short introduction about myself, telling you about the processes I undertook to turn my Word documents into books, and passing on some of the tips that I learnt as I set up my 3 novels, and most recently, a book about my 2002 treatment for breast cancer. Most of the session will be Q&As so feel free to drop in at any time.

The novels form an entertaining trilogy about Sharon, a 40-something Stockport woman who meets a Swami and sets out on a series of adventures. They are all available as ebooks (on Amazon), or as print books available to loan from Stockport libraries or to buy from Baytree Gifts on Heaton Moor.

Event 2 - 2pm-4pm
If you want to know more about how I got started with my character Sharon, and to have a quick creative writing exercise, then join me for the afternoon session at Town Bar between 2 and 4pm and try your hand at creating your own lead character, with the option of getting some feedback.
